Course Description

In the spirit of celebrating international cuisine, AICA offers this course for those who wish to learn the rich and elaborate culinary of Asia. This 8-session program discusses one main region per session, focusing on the unique aspects of each country’s gastronomic fare.

 

More than simply learning how to prepare Asia’s most distinctive dishes, students are taught the techniques and principles behind each region’s food culture. From the history of the cuisine, to how it was originally prepared, right down to how it’s properly eaten – this exciting recreational course is a venture into historical gastronomy! Learn to create a sumptuous Singaporean Laksa, know what makes an authentic Hainanese Chicken, and more. It’s interesting to note that the curriculum was shaped and perfected by the various international students of AICA itself.
